Abstract: The article deals with the problems of teaching English for specific purposes (ESP) in big groups with different levels and skills of language proficiency. The definition of “mixed abilities class” or “multi-level class” is suggested. New methodical approaches are analyzed and compared. Some solutions of dealing with such common problem in ESP teaching are considered.
