Abstract: This study examines the sociological impact of digitalization on tourism, focusing on changes in tourist behavior, social communication, and cultural identity in a digital environment. It explores the balance between technological innovation and the authenticity of the tourism experience. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining literature review with empirical analysis. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) via the NIPALS algorithm and cluster analysis were applied to 23 European countries to assess digital maturity and its influence on tourism and social dynamics. The findings reveal a strong link between digitalization and evolving communication patterns, emotional engagement, and consumer expectations. The study highlights the need for strategies that align digital progress with cultural preservation, offering insights for socially sustainable tourism development.
