| Abstract: | The article examines the peculiarities of organizing the learning and cognitive activities of higher education students in the context of distance learning, which in some regions of Ukraine during the full-scale war has become the only form of education. It is emphasized that the distance format implies mediated interaction between participants in the educational process, which requires the use of effective methods, techniques, and tools to activate students’ independent work. The study analyzes approaches to organizing independent learning and cognitive activities, particularly the performance of tasks related to writing theses, articles, annotations, essays, and reports on professional topics. It is concluded that the systematic use of such tasks contributes to the development of students’ research competencies, the formation of their academic culture, and the improvement of the quality of professional training in higher education institutions. |
