Abstract: The article deals with the popular case-study method in language learning, its advantages and features. The elements of case study method and its efficient application are analyzed and examined. The structure of common case studies, the guidelines for their usage in class and main approaches to case analysis are suggested. The efficiency and relevance of case method in language learning and students’ motivation are examined.
