Abstract: This paper examines the development and challenges of Quan Zhou People's Hospital (QZPH), the first Western medicine medical institution in Qujing, Yunnan, founded in 1938. Using a PEST analysis framework, it evaluates the political, economic, social, and technological environments impacting the hospital’s strategic management, focusing on its transition to a regional medical center amid aging demographics, rising healthcare demands, and intensifying competition in China's evolving healthcare landscape.
