dc.description.abstractThe article is devoted to the use of digital tools for language learning. It is emphasized that in the language classroom, technology can play a highly productive role, provided that it is mediated by a skilled teacher equipped with both language learning expertise and knowledge of digital tools. It is also stressed that teachers must learn how to assess and critique technology in order to identify those tools that are best placed to make a real contribution to the classroom. The article concludes that teachers will maintain their role at the centre of language learning and help shape a digital future that actively benefits everyone by being more proactive and engaged with technology, as well as more responsive to its benefits.uk_UA
