Language Socialization in the Cultural Diversity

Abstract

Modern students are members of a cultural community. To be a competent member the students not only have to learn the language but they have to be taught in conjunction with culture norms, rules, routines of their community. In turn, students, having an excellent language communication skills, today expect innovative patterns and methods to be involved in the process of developing their language communication skills in the cultural diversity. The paper tries to understand the expectations of modern day students in developing their communication skills and help lecturers identify and meet the students' needs in developing their communication skills.
