Abstract

Equivalent translation of contemporary English terminology is a complex and multifaceted process that requires translators to have in-depth knowledge not only of the linguistic system, but also of the cultural and economic contex. The ambiguity of terms, lack of direct equivalents in many languages and differences in cultural and economic approaches between English-speaking and Ukrainian cultures complicate the translation process. The use of borrowings and calques, although common practice, can lead to loss of semantic accuracy and adequacy in the target language. The translation of eco- nomic terms into Ukrainian is a complex process that requires translators to have a deep understanding not only of the linguistic system, but also of the cultural and economic context. An important area of focus is the creation of methodological recommendations for translators working with economic terminology, with the aim of minimizing the risk of loss of meaning in translation.
