Measuring and managing workplace climate based on social indicators and behavioural markers

Abstract

This chapter of the edited volume presents a theoretical study of diagnostic tools for measuring organizational climate across varying levels of favorability and toxicity. The relevance of the use of social indicators and behavioral markers is substantiated. Particular attention is paid to the study of organizational norms, leadership practices, and business atmosphere that improve/deteriorate organizational climate; as well as productive and counterproductive markers of personnel behavior that characterize different types of organizational climate (both favorable and toxic).
