Survey of Chinese Master’s students on the use of artificial intelligence in the study of the discipline «Pedagogy of higher education»

Abstract

The article presents the results of a survey conducted among Chinese master's students studying at the Department of Pedagogy, Foreign Philology, and Translation of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics. The focus of the research is on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in studying the discipline "Pedagogy of Higher Education". The survey analyzed students' awareness, frequency of use, attitudes, difficulties, and prospects regarding AI tools in the educational process. The results show that most students actively utilize AI technologies and perceive them as beneficial to their learning. However, some barriers, such as technical issues and a lack of digital skills, still exist. The study concludes with recommendations for enhancing AI-based learning environments and improving students’ digital literacy, particularly in the context of teacher training disciplines.
