Abstract

In the article the main stages of life of famous economist E. G. Lieberman are considered. The significance of his works for the USSR economic system is examined. Lieberman's activity as the teacher and his contribution to the development of Kharkiv National University of Economics is best accentuated by the author – his former student and follower.
