dc.description.abstract	The role and significance of innovations in the modern world are determined. The problems, drawbacks and threatening tendencies of insufficient efficiency of innovation activity in the Ukrainian economy which promote low level of national competitiveness are analyzed and summarized. The transfer of technologies as a phenomenon of socio-economic development of the state is considered. Grounded and recommended main modern directions of growth of innovation activity in Ukraine.
