dc.description.abstract	The expediency of estimating the scale of the shadow economy as an integral part of ensuring the economic security of the state is substantiated. The characteristics of the main methods of estimating the scale of the shadow economy are presented. The most effective methods for assessing the level and extent of the shadow economy in the countries of the world and Ukraine are determined.
