Доробок Ольги Муромцевої в галузі культури української мови

Abstract

У статті висвітлено науковий доробок професора О. Муромцевої в галузі культури української мови. Проаналізовано найбільш вагомі праці вченої, присвячені внормуванню сучасної української літературної мови. З’ясовано, що вся науково-педагогічна діяльність О. Муромцевої була спрямована насамперед на вивчення живої української мови, на дослідження мови українських письменників-класиків, а також на захист і плекання українського слова.

В статье освещены научные труды профессора О. Муромцевой в области культуры украинского языка. Проанализированы наиболее значимые работы ученой, посвященные вопросу стандартизации современного украинского литературного языка. Сделан вывод о том, что вся научно-педагогическая деятельность О. Муромцевой была направлена прежде всего на изучение живого украинского языка, на исследование языка украинских писателей-классиков, а также на защиту и сохранение украинского слова.

Scientific works of professor O. Muromtseva in the field of culture of the Ukrainian language are covered in article. The most significant works of the scholar dedicated to the standardization of modern Ukrainian literary language are analyzed. Our attention was drawn of O. Muromtseva’s works in the field of language culture because this aspect of her scientific heritage isn't rather studied for today. Investigating the question of the culture of the language, O. Muromtseva was convinced that the interrelation between language and nationality is a real and powerful weapon both for revival and, on the contrary, for the destruction of any nation. That is why the professor saw the leading activity of the Department of Ukrainian Studies (created in 1992 by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science at all leading universities of Ukraine) in raising the general cultural level of students, including the culture of the Ukrainian language, because the level of national-patriotic consciousness of youth depends on this. The mentioned problems and caused the relevance of our research. The purpose of the article is to provide a detailed analysis of the scientific works of O. Muromtseva devoted to language standardization. It is also clear that the scientific-pedagogical activity of O. Muromtseva was aimed primarily at the study of the alive Ukrainian language, at the study of the language of Ukrainian writers-classics, at the protect and cultivate the Ukrainian word.
