Performance study of the DTU model for relational databases on the Azure platform

Abstract

A system of indicators has been developed to monitor the current state of work with the database for sound decision-making on the choice of a certain price category of the DTU database SQL model as a cloud service MS Azure. This will optimize the results of working with relational databases on the platform. The proposed system, which includes 2 groups - time indicators and load indicators of existing platform resources. Experiments on the implementation of queries of varying complexity for the generated test database of large volumes for different levels of the DTU model. The analysis of the obtained results is carried out and recommendations on the choice of price categories of the model for different types of inquiries are developed.
