Specificities of Teaching a Foreign Language for Specific Purposes

Abstract

The presented material considers the peculiar features of teaching technical students a foreign language highlighting three main aspects: pragmatic, cognitive and pedagogic. Teaching must be student-oriented enhancing and mastering their professional, language and communicative competence. The method of case study and its stages have been analyzed as one of the most efficient and ontemporary methods of teaching a foreign language.
