The model of industrial upgrade under internal circular economy policy: based on the example of Сhina

Abstract

This paper examines China's industrial upgrade within the framework of its internal circular economy (ICE) policy, exploring the driving forces, key strategies, and challenges faced in transitioning towards a more sustainable industrial model. It emphasizes the promotion of green technologies, the establishment of circular economy zones, and the adoption of green supply chain practices, alongside policy incentives and consumer engagement. The paper highlights the potential benefits of the ICE policy, including enhanced resource efficiency, reduced pollution, economic diversification, and China's leadership in global sustainability efforts, while acknowledging the challenges in technology adoption, economic pressures, and regulatory enforcement.
