Analysis of trends in the Ukrainian fabric market

Abstract

In the paper, the last decade’s trends in the Ukrainian fabric market are analyzed. It is figured out that sales of fabrics in Ukraine in recent years demonstrate growth, but the majority of fabric sold in Ukraine is imported. The individual segment of fabric market is shrinking because of growth in imports of cheap clothing (second-hand) and an increase in the volume of purchases of ready-made clothes directly on foreign online platforms, while business segment is growing, being driven by export of clothing.
