Training of philologists in the history of Ukraine

Abstract

The article considers historical and educational sources, which show that almost from the moment of the formation of universities in Ukraine (the beginning of the nineteenth century), the training of teachers-philologists has received relative consistency. Also, the study demonstrates that the training of teachers-philologists in the history of national pedagogical thought is closely related to the functioning of higher education institutions
