Integrated project-based model for skill development in the context of digital transformation

Abstract

To address rapid skill obsolescence in the digital economy, this study introduces the integrated Skill-Sprint model, combining Waterfall’s strategic predictability with Agile’s tactical flexibility. Utilising a “skill backlog”, the model directly links strategic business goals to operational skill development. Testing validated the framework: mastering predictive analytics accelerated skill acquisition and reduced customer churn. The Skill-Sprint model offers an effective, ready-made framework for building adaptive corporate training systems.
