Abstract: The thesis explores the role of lean management as a driver of sustainable development and responsible consumption patterns. It highlights how lean principles, including waste elimination, continuous improvement, and demand-driven production, contribute to resource efficiency, reduction of environmental impact, and optimization of production processes. Particular attention is given to the multi-level effects of lean management at operational, environmental, market, and strategic levels. The study also examines the integration of lean management with circular economy approaches and its contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, key challenges related to the implementation of lean-based sustainability, such as organizational resistance, short-term business orientation, and the need for institutional support, are identified.
