Abstract: This paper investigates the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the transformation of labor motivation and employee productivity within the context of digital economic development. Drawing on recent empirical evidence and theoretical insights, the study identifies key mechanisms through which AI affects work processes, employee incentives, and organizational performance. The findings suggest that AI enhances task-level productivity, reshapes motivational structures by increasing the importance of non-monetary incentives, and generates both opportunities and risks for workforce sustainability. The paper contributes to the literature by integrating economic and behavioral perspectives on labor transformation in the age of AI.
