Abstract: This paper examines the role of student motivation as a key factor in improving the quality of higher education in the context of digitalization and educational transfor-mation. It emphasizes the importance of intrinsic motivation, which enhances stu-dents’ engagement, academic performance, and capacity for self-development. The paper analyzes internal and external factors influencing motivation, as well as com-mon challenges such as stress, uncertainty about future careers, and lack of clear goals. It also highlights the role of lecturers and effective pedagogical interaction in fostering a supportive learning environment and sustaining students’ motivation.
