Directions of modernization of state authority bodies activities in the conditions of the information society in European integration context

Abstract

The features of the development of the information society are studied, focusing on the constitutionally recognized path of European integration and EU standards. The factors influencing progressive changes in the activities of state authorities are considered, with the legislatively approved national strategy for building an information society based on modern information and communication technologies and innovative communication services, which are a source of social transformations in all spheres of public life. The issue of modernization of communications in the field of public administration is considered through e-government tools capable of significantly improving the quality of services, increasing the openness, transparency and efficiency of the activities of state authorities and local self-government. The successes of the digitalization process of Ukraine are determined, which opens up strategic prospects in the European direction with large-scale digital transformation of service provision systems and management processes at both the state and local levels. The main directions of development of the information society and transformation of the system of state authorities in the context of European integration into the EU digital space and harmonization with European digital standards have been identified to achieve the strategic goal of adapting the existing model of the public administration system to the needs and realities of today, based on international experience in introducing mechanisms for involving citizens in state policy using information and computer technologies and activating electronic forms of participation.
