| Abstract: | To date, the organisation of distance learning remains a relevant topic for Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs). Due to the rapid development of information technologies and the emergence of new forms of education, new opportunities are opening up for students and teachers. Distance learning is a convenient and effective way of acquiring knowledge, which allows students to study at any time and in any place. One of the main aspects of organising this form of education is technical support. Ukrainian higher education institutions are making significant efforts to develop technical infrastructure in order to ensure the effective operation of distance learning platforms and provide access to necessary equipment and software. Many higher education institutions also organise access to electronic libraries and other resources for self-study. Another important aspect is the development and implementation of new distance learning courses that meet the requirements of modern education and ensure high quality of learning, which is one of the areas of active work of Ukrainian higher education institutions to improve the educational process. Such courses are often interactive in nature, allowing students to interact productively with teachers and other students. An important component of successful online learning is the appropriate training of teachers. Among the challenges in implementing distance learning are ensuring the quality of education and monitoring students' knowledge. To this end, various forms of assessment are used, such as online tests, homework assignments, written assignments, etc. Another important component is ensuring access to information about students and their academic performance. |
