Abstract: The concept of violence in the political space is one of the most important and complex in political theory. In different historical periods, its interpretation underwent significant changes, which was determined by the evolution of political systems, social relations, and philosophical concepts. If in antiquity violence could be considered as a necessary tool of power, then in modern discourse it is increasingly associated with human rights violations, crises of statehood and manifestations of systemic conflicts.
