Abstract: This paper explores the role of case study technology in developing students' analytical thinking within the modern competence-based educational paradigm in Ukraine. The authors define analytical thinking as a complex cognitive competence essential for processing information, identifying cause-and-effect relationships, and making informed decisions in dynamic environments. The study highlights the case method as an effective pedagogical tool that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience, fosters cognitive independence, and enhances collaborative and critical thinking skills. Additionally, the paper addresses the didactic potential of integrating modern information and communication technologies into case-based learning, particularly for distance and blended learning formats.
