Abstract: The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of implementing green logistics as a tool for achieving sustainable development, using Germany and the European Union as case studies. It analyzes the impact of the European regulatory framework, including the European Green Deal, the EU Taxonomy, and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, on the development of the logistics sector. The study proposes an original hierarchy model of sustainable logistics, presents a SWOT analysis of green logistics, and compares its development in the EU and Ukraine. It also summarizes the practical experience of leading logistics companies in adopting electric vehicles, alternative fuels, digital technologies, and circular economy practices. Furthermore, the paper develops a forecast for the development of green logistics until 2030, proposes a system of key performance indicators (KPIs), and provides recommendations for Ukrainian enterprises. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of green logistics principles contributes to decarbonization, improved resource efficiency, and enhanced competitiveness of companies.
