The conceptual and categorical apparatus of «digital resilience» for tourist destinations

Abstract

The theses substantiate the need to develop a clear conceptual and categorical framework for studying the digital resilience of tourist destinations in the context of crises, including military threats and economic turbulence. The author distinguishes between the concepts of “sustainability” and “resilience” and consistently clarifies the content of key categories: tourist destination, destination resilience, digital maturity, digital resilience, and information and analytical support for management. The paper emphasizes terminological gaps in the national regulatory and legal framework and proposes an author’s definition of a tourist destination’s digital resilience as the integrated capacity of the management system and stakeholders to ensure functional stability, rapid adaptation, and swift recovery of services through ICT, data analytics, and digital interaction tools.
