| Abstract: | The aim of the work is to identify and theoretically substantiate the most effective directions for reducing the grinding temperature, taking into account the regularities of its formation in the cutting zone and the surface layer of the processed material for the development of highly efficient grinding technological processes. The prospectivity of the direction associated with reducing the conditional cutting stress by eliminating the friction process of the binder (bond) of the grinding wheel with the processed material, which is achieved under the conditions of electroerosion grinding with a diamond wheel on a metal bond, has been established. The methodology for determining the optimal mechanical and electrical parameters of grinding based on establishing a stable minimum value of the conditional cutting stress has been substantiated, which allowed the development and implementation of effective technological processes for diamond grinding of products made of difficult-to-machine materials: hard alloys, high-strength coatings, ceramics, ferrites, natural diamonds, crystal and glass products. Also, the conditions for reducing the temperature of intermittent grinding due to reducing the lengths of the working protrusions on the intermittent circle were theoretically and experimentally substantiated, which allowed to ensure high-quality processing and increase productivity several times. |
