Abstract: The study provides a comprehensive analysis of contemporary approaches to assessing and optimizing the labor potential of enterprises as a strategic asset for competitiveness and long-term sustainability. The paper examines the key determinants of labor productivity, emphasizing the critical role of employee skills, managerial practices, and continuous investment in human capital. A methodological framework combining an index-based approach, HR analytics, and fuzzy logic is proposed to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative components of labor potential under conditions of market uncertainty. Furthermore, the research outlines priority directions for optimization, such as HR process digitalization, upskilling and reskilling initiatives, and the implementation of flexible employment models adapted to evolving economic conditions.
