Abstract: The article presents the national (commodity and medical) and European classification of baby food. It is determined that 64 % of the Ukrainian market is made up of imported products (mainly Nestlé, Danone, HiPP brands), which have advantages due to the use of specialised European raw material zones. The article describes domestic baby food producers that compete with imported analogues. It is noted that some of them are introducing environmental innovations in production and packaging. The author highlights the impact of the latest legislative changes of 2025-2026 on environmental labelling, safety control and environmental friendliness of baby food products.
